I’ve been going to Goodwills, consignment stores and hitting up department store clothes racks, since undergrad. Once I went to college, I learned that I needed to be more resourceful especially with my only shopping funds coming from what I made as a Lifeguard. Do I always find something when I go thrifting? Well no, but it’s so exciting when I do. Patience and time are two things that you need if you are trying to find a good deal and something that you love. My friends ask “how do you find anything, there’s so much stuff?!?” I flip through all of the clothes in my size…every piece of clothing. I don’t waste time going through racks of clothing that I can’t wear. A lot of people donate their clothes as soon as the go out of season. One great thing about being little is that I always find great clothes that people outgrow or just don’t want anymore! I have lots of Ann Taylor Loft Petites clothes that I have found and they are perfect for my Librarian attire. I have found great clothes for all my friends and they are of all different sizes. It does not matter what size you are, if you look you can find something for you.
